Lake George Information
Lake George is known as the "Queen of American Lakes" and is located in the Adirondack section of New York about an hour north of Albany and just four hours north of New York City on Rt. 87. The area is a well known tourist attraction and has lots of things to do for any family on vacation. Examples include historic sites such as Fort William Henry, amusement parks, and shows and gatherings like Americade and the Adirondack National Hot-Rod Show. Boating and water sports are abundant on the thirty-two mile long lake which offers island camping and tour boat rides as well.
